A message from our founder...
"...happiness doesn't result from what we get, but from what we give."- Ben Carson
Fashion designer and style expert, Mikasa La'Charles of House of VII Jewels, discovered her innate fashion talent when only five years old living in her Philadelphia hometown.
While sitting at the kitchen counter top sketching the silhouettes of skirts, Mikasa asked her mother who was a former professional model if drawing clothes could be her job in the future. Reassuringly, her mother looked into her almond shaped eyes and said "yes, they are called fashion designers."
From that day forth, Mikasa La'Charles has prayed fervently and worked diligently towards this dream. In addition to graduating from the College of William and Mary she has studied abroad to Florence, Milan and Paris.
Ever since Mikasa's volunteer commitments in college, she has always firmly believed that "...we should all give back to the world in which we have taken from"; and Sketching Dreams, 'Sew' They're Possible Fashion Design Camp is just one of the many philanthropic efforts she has and will continue to dedicate herself to. It is vital for us all to proactively realize the importance to 'encourage, engage and enrich' the lives of our society's future women leaders.
We hope to have your future design star join us this Summer to begin the wonderful journey she will embark in her creative career!
